Fall Movie Season Preview: Drama

There are a handful of good dramas coming out this Fall. Actually Fall seems to be the season for some of solid dramas. We are starting to enter Oscar season and in recent years we have started to see Oscar caliber movies come out in the late months of fall. The sign of a good drama is a movie you want to watch again and again, so don't be surprised if you want to catch these next two movies twice at the theater.

Must See Drama: Where The Wild Things Are - Is this a Drama? I think so. I've said a lot about this film and it is many people's most anticipated film of the fall. Director Spike Jonze has put a lot of work into this film and everyone who has been around the making of it has had nothing but great things to say about it. The previews for it look great and cinematography and effects look like a children's book, which is exactly how it should be. This should be a great film for everyone.

Honorable Mention: Up In The Air - This isn't really honorable mention as much as it is another Must See. It is the story of a man who spends 90% of the year traveling for work. But what happens when someone disconnected from personal relationships finally starts finding them in his life when his job is, for lack of a better word, grounded. George Clooney will deliver a funny performance in a serious role. Also, look out for newcomer Anna Kendrick and appearances from Jason Bateman and Zach Galifianakis.

Skip It: Amelia- This movie has an all-star cast and Oscar worthy director and writer, but we've all seen what can happen when an all-star team tries for an all-star movie, they fail. This looks like it'll be too much sap which will make it crap. Plus we already know what happens in the end.

Note: The last installment will be Must See Movie of the Fall, so if you think I missed something, wait, it might be the top movie to see this Fall.
