Pirates 4

There is now a title for the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, On Stranger Tides. At the recent Disney 23 convention, Johnny Depp waltzed into the convention in full Jack Sparrow outfit and let everyone know the 4th film is set for a Summer 2011 release.

If you watched as the credits rolled in the last installment of Pirates, you will remember Jack Sparrow rowing his little boat with a map to the fountain of youth. Well, assumptions are arising that the fourth film will be using some of the story from the novel of the same name On Stranger Tides in which a pirate searches for the fountain of youth.

Hard to say if the film will be worth the attempt with many of the old cast (Bloom and Knightly) not attached, but everyone loved Jack Sparrow in the first film, so maybe this will be a bit of a reboot.
