Fantastic Mr. Fox

Today the trailer for Fantastic Mr. Fox was released. This is a stop-motion film, something you don't see much of anymore, staring, well, Mr. Fox. Mr. Fox is voiced by George Clooney though. The film is written and directed by Wes Anderson who has done previous dry comedies such as The Royal Tenenbaums. There are a few notable voice actors in the film such as Meryl Streep and and Bill Murray.

The movie is based on the Roald Dahl novel (he wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) about three mean farmers who attempt to destroy the home of Mr. fox and his family (but wouldn't you too if Mr. Fox was trying to steal your chickens and food?). There really isn't much more to it than animals have home attacked by mean humans; animals think of plan to stop the mean humans; comedy ensues; the ending is happy. It is basic cinema math.

The trailer looks funny though and the delivery of the characters by Bill Murray and George Clooney seems to be what will ensure laughter is heard at the theater. Anyway, judge for yourself, here is the trailer.
